Elegant comes to mind for this wrap skirt – the long, almost maxi length gives space to have the right proportion for the drop waist gather below the hipline. The gentle curve on the wrap panel takes the eye along a desired vertical again with the sash tie hanging down.

The flat panel on the hip and tummy means you can have a top hang out without becoming a bubble of ruffle – or tuck in just a tiny bit at the wrap tie point to add to the verticals and avoid lots of blunt horizontal lines.

Shisha – is an exotic celebration of colour – named  ‘Shisha’ -Not for the exotic Persian smoking apparatus -but for the Indian embroidery art of stitching mini mirrors or reflective materials into the fabric.

This digital print has every tone of bright happy pinks, reds and orange balanced by black and stone neutrals. The print is busy and colourful making a very happy statement piece and really only needs a neutral stone or camel to show it off. So pair it with a camel jacket or accessories.

Or for an evening event, layer with a black to make it more formal.

The perfect summer top – she has a round neck, short sleeve and a high low hem – the front hem length will cover your crutch – the back has a stitch detail that turns into an inverted pleat to ensure she doesn’t cling to your butt. I call this a “dead” colour meaning it acts as a backdrop or neutral  for other colours – like a black or stone or charcoal. It doesn’t have enough cobalt blue colour to fight against other colours that you want to pair it with. It becomes a non-colour with a hint of blue but is a dark enough tone to be a very useful backdrop in a very sophisticated way.

It’s also what makes it versatile for both Summer and Winter outfits.

The soft palette of pale pinks and greens in a delicate array of patches of hand drawn detail is a lift to any plain linen outfit of white, stone, camel, dusty pink or the 2 beautiful greens of the season – sage and leaf. Feminine but not fussy.
